Rita Joyce (Davison) Hendrix

Rita Joyce Davison Hendrix was born on November 11, 1952, in Dalhart, Texas to John and Verna Marshall Davison. Rita entered the Gates of Heaven on September 23, 2023, in Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 70. Rita graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas and later married Dow Wayne Hendrix on April 7, 1977. They moved to Bryan County 5 years ago from Kingston. She was of the Baptist faith, and she enjoyed coloring, playing bingo, doing word searches, quilting, and she loved her sunflowers.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents John and Verna Davison; sisters Verna Petty and Clara Belcher; brothers Virgil Davison and J.E. Ramsey and brother in laws John Alonzo and James Petty.

Rita is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 45 years Dow Hendrix of the home; sons Jeffrey Alonzo of Chandler, OK and Charles Hendrix of Durant, OK; grandson Charles Hendrix Jr.; granddaughters Chameleon Hendrix, Adrianna Hendrix, and Denali Hendrix; brother John Davison; sisters Barbara Horton and husband James, Drenda Strong and husband Robert, and Becky Alonzo and numerous extended family and friends.
