Calera, OK- Bret Hendrix, 30, passed from this life on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 in Sherman, Texas. Bret was born Monday, August 23rd, 1993 in Denison, Texas to Yuri Victor Hendrix and Beth Ann (Parks).
Bret grew up and attended school in Calera. His last employment was at Austin College in Sherman where he worked as a cook in the cafeteria. Bret enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, and gardening.
Bret was preceded in death by his uncle, Tristan Hendrix.
He leaves behind his mother Beth Parks of Calera; his father Yuri Hendrix of Calera; a brother Shawn Hendrix and his wife, Jessica of Durant; sister Brooke Hendrix of Calera; grandparents Joe and Vickie Frank of Sherman, Greg and Vicki Hendrix of Pottsboro, and Helen Parks of Durant; uncles Larry Parks and Michael Parks both of Durant; 3 nephews Jaxon, Gio, and Atreus; aunt Tara Webb and husband, Jeff; and cousins Baylee and Landry.
Services to celebrate Bret’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 17th, 2024 at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel in Durant. Chaplain Don Fentem will officiate.
