Tommy Lee Hendon

March 9, 1930 ~ August 31, 2009

Hendon, Tommy Lee, 79, of Choctaw, OK, died August 31, 2009 at Midwest Regional Medical Center, Midwest City, OK. Born March 9, 1930 in Bridgeport, OK to Wylie T and Effie May Hendon.

He joined the US Navy in 1947 and was assigned to the USS O'Bannon, there he learned the trade of boiler tender, a work he loved and made his career. He owned and operated Adolph and Bud Boiler and Welding Company for 25 years. If anyone had a 'boiler question' Tommy was the man to ask. Tommy was a member of VFW #7192, American Legion Post 170, and Moose Lodge for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 1 granddaughter and 1 great granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife Wilma of the home, children; Jack Hendon and wife Patti and Ken Hendon and wife Rhonda of Galesburg, IL, Larry Hendon and wife Lisa of Moore, OK, Jimmy Hendon, Tonua Hulette and husband Ron, Ben and wife Dusty, all of Midwest City, OK, brother; Earl Hendon of OKC, 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
