Donald L. Henderson

July 27, 1926 ~ May 4, 1990

Donald L. Henderson, 63, of Mammoth, Wyoming, died May 4, 1990, at Livingston Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Funeral services were at 1:30 PM May 8, at the Franzen-Davis-Bebee Chapel with the Rev. Bill Kliber of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation followed.

Henderson was born July 27, 1926, in Cherokee to Justin and Ima V. Henderson. He received his early education in Cherokee and moved with his family to Big Timber, Wyoming, when he was 16. He served with the Army of Occupation in Japan at the close of World War II. He later re–entered the service, serving in Korea.

He married Jean Peterson in 1950. She died in 1974. He married Janet Grant Joseph in 1975 in Livingston, Wyoming. The couple lived in Mammoth.

He worked for the Livingston City Fire Department and was assistant Fire Chief prior to his retirement in 1976. In 1977 he went to work as the fire protection inspector for the National Park Service in Yellowstone National Park.

Survivors are his wife of Livingston; his mother of Livingston; a son, Randy of Billings; three brothers, Lloyd Henderson of Cherokee, Dr. Jack Henderson of Enid and Joe Henderson of San Antonio, Texas; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the donors choice or to the Gardiner Volunteer Ambulance, care of Bill Hape, Gardiner, WY 59030.
