Lawrence "Larry" Hendershot of Durant, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024, in Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 81. He was born on January 10, 1943 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Charles and Eva (Rose) Hendershot.
An avid outdoorsman, Larry found joy in the simplicity of fishing, the thrill of snowmobiling, and the tranquility of being one with nature. There wasn't anything he couldn't build, a testament to his ingenuity and craftsmanship. He had an adventurous soul and a handy nature.
Larry's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his brothers Glen and wife Iris, Jerry and wife Martha, Terry, Kerry and wife Caroline, Ronnie and wife Betty, and his sister Corrine Preadeau and husband Eugene. His memory will also be cherished by his children Charla, Larry Jr., and Laurie, and his grandson Richard Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lynn, his parents Charles and Eva Hendershot, his aunts Blondie Hammock, Florie Conine, Ardella Lamb, and his uncle O. D. Rose.
Cremation services have been selected, and no memorial is planned at this time.
