Bob J. Helt
Dec. 18, 1929 ~ Nov. 28, 2024

Bob J. Helt, 94, of Kingfisher and Oklahoma City, passed away on Nov. 28, 2024.

He was born on Dec. 18, 1929, to Oscar Ray and Mary Josephine (Barnett) Helt.

Bob was raised on a farm west of Kingfisher and attended school in Loyal.

He had a successful career for over 25 years with the Oklahoma Publishing Company, specializing in color graphic printing and traveled throughout the U.S. to coordinate projects with clients.

In his retirement, he also drove a semi-truck parttime for OPUBCO, visiting paper mills throughout the U.S.

Bob was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and was known by many as “Harley Bob” during his retired years when he rode his Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He loved music and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed working on projects with family and friends and could fix almost anything.

Bob was a loving husband and father.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lovene Ann (Skarky) Helt, whom he married on March 6, 1949.

He is survived by the seven children they raised together, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, his sister-in-law and three nieces.

Many thanks to the wonderful caretakers who helped with Bob’s care at the end of his life.

A memorial service will be held by the family in the spring.
