Roy Wayne Hector
September 21, 1955 ~ May 18, 2018

Roy Wayne Hector was born September 21, 1955 in Roswell, New Mexico and passed away from cancer May 18, 2018 in Guymon, Oklahoma. He spent his high school years in Enid, Oklahoma and considered it his hometown. According to Roy, returning to Enid in 2010 saved his life and brought him closer to his family than he had been in decades.

Roy was an artist, carpenter, welder, and jack-of-all trades. He obtained an Associate Degree from Northern Oklahoma College upon his return to Enid, and refurbished and modified bicycles for a living while in Guymon, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his long-time companion and love, Becky Winfield Potts, and his daughter, Sidney Aunko, both of Guymon, Oklahoma, as well as his mother, Jette Eubanks; siblings, Nanci, David, Janine, and Denis; and a host of relatives and friends.

Roy touched many lives and will be remembered for his heart of gold and happy smile. He saw beauty in the environment and his favorite place was the mountains.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 26, 2018 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.

According to his wishes, Roy was cremated.
