Lola (Ewing) Heaton

August 16, 1937 ~ February 27, 2022

Memorial Services for Lola Heaton will be at 10 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Alva First United Methodist Church. She was cremated at her request.

Lola Heaton, daughter of the late Harold and Ruby (Link) Ewing, was born August 16, 1937, and passed away February 27, 2022, at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 11 days.

Lola was united in marriage to Dr. Charles Heaton, December 31, 1958, in Alva where she lived most of her life. She worked at Schuhmacher Drug, Coker Motor Company, Central National Bank and Alva State Bank, retiring in 2004, and continued working part time until Covid.

She was a member of the Alva First United Methodist Church, Fidelis Sunday School Class and Mary-Martha Circle.

Lola was full of love. Her greatest joy was her family and the time she got to spend with her grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren. She was always so excited when they stopped by to visit her. When not spending time with them, Lola loved to crochet dish cloths, go shopping and playing cards on her iPad. She loved getting out and mingling with her friends, whether it was at church, drinking coffee or eating at the Senior Citizens Center.

Lola is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Tami Cooper and husband Jay; son Tony Heaton and wife Deanna; grandchildren, Jeremy Cooper and wife Jade, Lexie Lauderdale and husband Chris, Kalee Richardson and husband Paul, Joshua Heaton and wife Arielle; great grandchildren, Lennon Lauderdale, Blakely Lauderdale, Nellie Lauderdale, Aria Cooper, Briar Cooper, Abby Richardson, Allie Richardson and Zion Heaton. She is also survived by her sister, Joela Taylor.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alva First United Methodist Church or Woods County Senior Citizens Center.
