Jerry Heaton

Jerry Heaton
September 24, 1932 ~ August 8, 2016

Jerry Heaton, age 83 of Joplin, Mo passed away August 8, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 24, 1932 in Miller, Mo the son of William Albert and Lorretta Bell "Gayer" Heaton. Jerry was a Veteran serving his country during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army. He worked as a salesman for Juvenile Shoe in Sarcoxie, Mo, Otasco Tire Co and Russ Rogers Chevrolet in Bartlesville, Ok. He married Carol Bond Garrett in Miami, Ok.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and a step daughter Janet Garrett in July of 2015. Survivors include his wife Carol of the home, two stepsons: Rusty and Rick Garrett, a brother Aubrey Heaton, two sisters: Toni Lawson and Elsie Beardon, two grandchildren: Ronnie Garrett and Aundrea Arnold, and two great grandchildren Gabe Arnold and Payton Garrett.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday August 11, 2016 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory. Visitation will immediately follow the service. The family suggests contributions to the Freeman East Dialysis Program in care of the Mortuary. Arrangements entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
