Vanessa Lynn Headrick
March 9, 1962 ~ July 2, 2022 (age 60)

Vanessa Lynn Headrick of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away on July 2, 2022, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 60.

Vanessa was born in Pryor, Oklahoma, on March 9, 1962, to Darrell Gene Headrick and Waneva Yoder Everett.

She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1980. She also attended Seminole Junior College.

She worked at Eaton Corporation in Shawnee for a short time.

Vanessa was a devoted Christian and Bible Scholar. Her hobbies included writing, fishing, rescuing animals, and playing the drums. She was a published author. Her heart’s desire was that everyone come to know Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell Gene Headrick and Waneva Yoder Everett; and her loving grandparents, Walter and Velma Yoder. Vanessa spent a lot of time with her loving grandparents during her childhood years and was very involved in the church her grandfather, Rev. W.W. Yoder pastored in Pryor, OK. It was a joy to all when she would sing a special with her beautiful soprano voice.

She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Headrick; and granddaughters, Kenzie and Lexi Fox. She is also survived by precious friends and family members including many cousins who love her very much.

Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Johnson Church of God, 46209 Garrett’s Lake Road, Shawnee, OK, with Reverend Ken Kerbo officiating. Family will provide lunch in the fellowship hall following service. All friends and family welcome.
