Thomas Clayton Head, Jr
May 1, 1926 ~ December 4, 2017

Thomas Clayton Head, Jr, of Grainola, Oklahoma has passed from this earth on Monday, December 4, 2017. He was 91. He was born on May 1, 1926 in Shidler to Thomas Clayton Head and Pearl Irene Handley Head.

HE attended Shidler High School. He Graduated in 1944 on a Friday and by Monday he had enlisted in the US Navy and was headed for Pearl Harbor. He served his country in the Navy from 1944 until 1946. At the end of the war, he moved back to Grainola.

He and his brother Donovan ''Bud'' Head became farmers and ranchers. Thomas served on the Osage County Rural Water District #21 for over fifty years. He was very involved with the community and volunteered at the Grainola Senior Citizens Center. He enjoyed his weekly game of poker with his buddies. Thomas had a very special best friend, a dog named Randy. He loved Randy like a member of his family. 

Thomas is survived by many nieces and nephews and their children. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill E and Donovan Head, sisters Doreen Walker, Christine Kroll and Georgia Irene McBall, and a nephew Bill D. Head, Sr. 

At this time, the services for Tom are pending. The family appreciates your patience while they make arrangements at Grace Memorial Chapel.
