Margie Elizabeth Hays, 74, of Blanchard, formerly of Tampa, Florida, died Sunday, December 18, 2016, in Norman, Oklahoma. The daughter of Ellie Fernandez and Bonnie Clara (Claybourne) Fernandez, she was born December 12, 1942 in Tampa, Florida.
Margie worked for many years as an Administrative Secretary in the Radiology Department at Tampa General Hospital. She was a member of the Hope Adventist Fellowship in Moore. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, and crocheting. While living in Florida, she made many stuffed bears to be given to cancer patients. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Margie is survived by two daughters, Donna Boyce, of Blanchard and Robin Bresnahan and her husband, Rich, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one son, Keith Hays and his wife, Angie, of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren, Scott Sawyer and his wife, Danielle, of Blanchard, Walter Alexander of Oklahoma City, Connor Bresnahan of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Isabella Bresnahan of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two great grandchildren, Tyler Sawyer and Alexyss Alexander; two sisters, Nancy Fernandez and Shirley Hickman, both of Tampa, Florida; one brother, Joe Fernandez and his wife, Sue, of Tampa, Florida; her step-mother, Mildred Royal, of Lakeland, Florida; and many other loved ones and friends.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
