Memorial service for Clarence "Mack" Haymaker, age 82, will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Mack was born to Archa Franklin and Mary Ann (Haley) Haymaker May 13, 1931, at their home in Enid, and he died peacefully Friday, January 10, 2014, at his home in Enid.
Mack was a veteran of the Korean War, a part of the Army Rangers from 1950-1953, and a part of the 45th Infantry Division.
In the late 1950s, Mack raced motorcycles. He was the owner and operator of Mack�s Transmission Service in Enid for more than 50 years. His ethic, hard work, and sense of humor helped this self-made man become a success. Mack was highly respected by his peers and customers alike.
Mack is survived by his wife, Pat Haymaker, of the home; children, Archa Mack "Archie" Haymaker and wife Kelly of Waukomis, Mona Haymaker of Thailand, Monica Brown and Gwen Wells, both of Enid; grandchildren Sarah Haymaker, Gretchen Haymaker McKee, Archa Franklin "Cooter" Haymaker II, Sara, Emily, Jewel, Trista, Shandy and Dakota; and eight great-grandchildren.
