Memorial services are pending for Leola Lee Shay Hayden, 85, with the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Mrs. Hayden died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Clinton. She was born May 1, 1926 in Cheyenne, the daughter of Harry Luther Shay, formerly from Missouri; and Bessie Bonner Shay, formerly from Berlin, Oklahoma.
She attended school until the 12th grade in Cheyenne, marrying Hubert Hayden September 17, 1943.
Mrs. Hayden was employed in the accounting office of the Soil Conservation Service in Stillwater area until 1988.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Harry and Bessie Shay; her husband, Hubert Hayden; a sister Rita Trudy; and three brothers, Golden Lee Shay, Harry Shay and Vernon Shay.
Survivors include a son, Vaughn, of the home; and a brother, Richard Shay of Pampa, Texas; as well as other relatives and friends.
