Gary Haworth, a beloved father, and grandfather left this life and joined his Savior on June 23, 2021, at the age of 74. He was born in Durant, OK to Troy Elwood Haworth and Ina Lowell (Rider) Haworth on November 3, 1946.
A memorial service to honor his life will be on Friday June 25, 2021, at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, OK with Roger McGehee and Larry Hughes conducting the service. His honorary pallbearers will be Larry Hughes, Happy Page, Roger McGehee, Elbert Hill, Jerry Hughes, Bobby Dobbins, and Clyde Wayne Robinson. Gary served the state of Oklahoma in the Army National Guard from 1966-1967. He attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and was a huge OU football fan. Gary was passionate about music and the sport of bull riding. He was a construction contractor by trade and was always proud of his completed jobs.
Mr. Haworth is survived by his cherished children, Chris Haworth and wife DeeAnn of Utica, OK, Kelly Haworth and wife Tammie of Oklahoma City, OK, and Garrett Haworth and wife Jessica of Durant, OK, Gary was proud of all his grandchildren, Tyler Haworth of Utica, OK, Derrick Haworth and wife Ciera of Utica, OK, Asa Haworth, Titus Haworth, and Lydia Haworth all of Oklahoma City, OK, one great-grandchild, Reese Haworth of Utica, OK, he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
Mr. Haworth was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Lowell Haworth, siblings, Wanda Shelton and Don Haworth.
