Anthony "Tony" Hawkins, 65, of Ochelata, was surrounded by his family when he went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening, May 29, 2023, after a very short battle with cancer. He was born May 20, 1958, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to parents Frosty Hawkins and Mary Ann Hawkins. Tony graduated from North Brook High School in Houston, Texas in 1977. He married Cynthia Leah Hawkins on October 31, 2016. He was Cindy's rock, love of her life and best friend for 13 years. No one can ever fill his shoes.... Cindy was with him until his very last breath holding his hand.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend.
Tony enjoyed being on the lake where he first said to Cindy be my girlfriend and I love you. He did have a soft side believe it or not. He treated Cindy like a queen, catering to her and whatever she wanted. He loved sitting on the back porch counting how many mother f****** ran that stop sign. He loved his blackberry bushes and his hibiscus. His lawn was his passion, he would get so angry when Dad (Archie Medlock) teased about coming to mow the lawn. Last but not least Larry & Sam, his fur babies that he loved so much.
Tony is preceded in death by his father, Frosty Hawkins, Mother, Mary Ann Hawkins, Daughter, Candi Hawkins, Mother-in-law, Wilma Ruth Medlock.
Tony is survived by his devoted Wife, Cindy Hawkins, Larry and Sam Hawkins (fur babies), Daughter, Mandi Hawkins, Fayetteville, TX; Son, Forrest Hawkins Yates, TX, Bobby Hawkins (wife Joyce) Katy, TX, Dean Hawkins (wife Barbara) Texas, Levi Jones (Chyann) Fort Smith, AR, Chad Jones (Ashley) Lavaca, AR, Adam Jones (partner Courtney) Sand Springs, OK.
Tony wasn't the hugs and kisses type, but he did love all of his grandbabies. Many of the grandbabies called him "cranky pants" LOL!
Grandchildren, Royce Hawkins (Akron, OH), Wyatt Hawkins (Akron, OH), Klaton Hawkins (Jacksonville, TX), Landon Jones (Charleston, AR.), Mackenzie Jones (Sand Springs, OK), Kason Jones (Lavaca, AR), Charlie Jones (Lavaca, AR), Presley Jones (Lavaca, AR), Travin Jones (Lavaca, AR) Hazin Jones (Lavaca, AR).
Services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Bartlesville.
