Oklahoma to James and Louise (Turner) Boydson. She passed away on Thursday,
July 27, 2023 at the age 62 years 5 months 16 days in Durant.
Teresa
accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in September 1970 at the age of 9 and
was baptized at Bel Aire Baptist Church. Teresa grew up in Carrollton,
Texas. She attended Good Elementary, DeWitt Perry Junior High and graduated
from Newman-Smith High School in May 1979. She attended Brook Haven College
and worked for News Texan, Speers Manufacturing.
She married Keith Haught on August 27, 1983 in Carrollton, Texas. Keith preceded her in death January 10, 2008. Teresa and Keith had two wonderful sons, Justin and Cody, that she was so proud of. Teresa loved being a mom and was even more excited when her first grandchild was born. She loved being a GiGi!
Teresa was diagnosed with MS in early 1997 and she moved to Brookside Nursing Home, Madill in July 2002. She enjoyed playing bingo, having her nails done, and listening to her hard rock music on her stereo. She moved to Kings Daughters and Sons, Durant in February 2018. Teresa looked forward to the Christmas season. She would wear Christmas sweatshirts the whole month of December and also enjoyed celebrating her birthday.
Teresa had a Dr. Pepper addiction! When the doctors told her she could not have them anymore she was very upset. All the nursing home staff knew not to give her one, however every time there was a new staff member, she would talk them into getting her one.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents James and Louise Boydson of Gordonville, Texas, her sons Justin Haught and wife Amanda of Durham, North Carolina and Cody Haught and wife Shelbi of Bonham, Texas, her sister Lanesa McKee and husband Randy of Gordonville, Texas. Her legacy will live on with her grandchildren Marlee, Koen, and Emry, and Olive Haught of Durham, North Carolina, and Knox, Kynleigh, and Zion Haught of Bonham, Texas. She is also survived by her nieces Brittany Coleman and husband Jordan of Kingston, Oklahoma, Courtney Fierro and husband Ramon of Sherman, Texas, and great-nieces and great-nephews Averleigh, Ellarie, Eden, Eli and Gilbert.
