Robert J. Hauger

Funeral services for Robert J. Hauger, age 57, of Chickasha are pending with the McRay Funeral Home.

Mr. Hauger was born on July 30, 1947, in Chickasha. He died on July 7, 2005, in Oklahoma City.

Funeral service for Robert J. Hauger, age 57, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2005, in McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kim Hayes will officiate and Rev. John Stone will assist. Robert J. Hauger was born the son of Robert Eugene Hauger and Irma Jo Burmeister Hauger on July 30, 1947, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He died on July 7, 2005, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Robert grew up in Chickasha then moved to Arkansas City, Kansas. After high school, he entered the United States Air Force. He married Frieda Johnson on November 4, 1966 in Hackney, Kansas. Soon after their marriage, he left for Korea where he served for thirteen months. He and his wife then moved to California where he was stationed at Van Denburg Air Force Base. While in the air force, he was a security police officer. In 1974, they moved back to Chickasha and served with the Chickasha Police Department. Robert purchased the A-Alert Alarm Company in 1979. While operating the alarm company, he continued to work as a reserve officer for the police department until 1993.

Robert was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Martha and Virgil Hauger.

Survivors include: wife: Frieda Hauger of the home; daughter: Candi Hauger of Chickasha; father: Robert Hauger of Chickasha; mother and husband: Irma Jo and Joe Daniel of Enid; sisters: Jean Slavin of Arkansas City, Kansas, and Sally Ann Daniel of Ft. Worth, Texas; chosen family: Carla Manning Zach and Ashlyn.

Interment will be held at 4 p.m. in the Moore Prairie Cemetery near Sedan, Kansas.

Services will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
