John Hatchett, 71, of Blanchard, died May 19, 2013 in Norman, Oklahoma.
The son of Clebern Bluford and Mary Jewell (Ray) Hatchett, he was born March 8, 1942 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. John married Sheila Olinger on November 13, 1963 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He worked for many years as a furniture builder. John was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ and loved antique shopping, fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
John is survived by his wife, Sheila Hatchett of Blanchard; son, J.R. Hatchett of Blanchard; grandson, Austin Hatchett of Blanchard; brothers, Bud Hatchett and wife, Joyce, of Missouri, Clyde Hatchett and wife, Stephanie, of Texas, Joe Hatchett and wife, Susan, of Locust Grove, and Jerry Hatchett and wife, Margaret, of Stilwell; sisters, Laveta Barker of Tulsa and Pauline Ray of Tulsa; and many nieces and nephews and other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 24, 2013 at the Blanchard Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
