Mike Harwell

Mike Harwell
September 19, 1951 ~ December 14, 2024

Mike Harwell was born September 19, 1951 in Dallas, TX to Al and Bettie Harwell and passed away from this life on December 14, 2024 at the age of 73.

Mike was raised in Grapevine, TX. He graduated from Grapevine High School and attended Tarrant County Junior College. It was there he met his wife Vicki and they were married on January 19th, 1973.

Mike started his work career as a fireman at Grapevine Fire Department and later was hired on at Highland Park fire department in Dallas. He was a fireman for several years and also started his own paint contracting business which he ran for 30 plus years. He was a Mason and member of the Wapanucka Masonic Lodge and he received his certificate and 50 year pin this year.

In 1985, Mike brought his family to Oklahoma where he raised cattle and built up a working cattle ranch. He loved working with cattle and he was doing just that when the Lord called him home.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Al and Bettie Harwell and grandmother Bessie Mitchell.

He leaves behind his wife and best friend of almost 52 years Vicki; his daughter Shelley and husband Brian; his son Christopher and wife Robin; his grandson Colton; granddaughters Addison, Ava, and Anna; and many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday December 19th from 5-7 pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine, TX.

A graveside service will be held Friday December 20th at 2:00 pm at Grapevine Cemetery in Grapevine, TX.

A celebration of life will be held at The Wildflower in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on January 4th. Time to be announced.
