David Harvey age 60 of Lexington, passed away on January 7, 2023. David William Harvey was born to Gerald William Harvey and Ruth Ann Harvey (Sandlin) on February 21, 1962 in Moore, Oklahoma. The family made their home in the area and David attended school there.
After school, David joined the work force and spent most of his working years in the tire business as a technician. David made his home in the Asher and Lexington areas to be closer to family and the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and survivalist. In recent years David decided to learn to play guitar and fell in love with them. He enjoyed OU athletics, and spending time with his furry companion, a dog named Barry. Most of all, David was a proud grandpa and loved being with his grandbabies. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
David was preceded in death by his parents Gerald Harvey, and Ruth Ann Pope. His Aunt and Uncle, Howard and Sue Pelfry, and his granddaughter Kevany Lasater.
He is survived by his daughters, Bridget Stolhand of Purcell, and Brittany Lasater of Blanchard. His siblings James Harvey of Oklahoma City, Peggy Hall of Noble, and Caroline Odom of Moore. David also leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren.
The family will hold a Tailgate Memorial Service at 12:00 pm Saturday January 14, 2023 at Charlie McCown Park in Lexington. They will serve tailgate food and ask friends to bring a covered dish or dessert if able, and wear all your favorite OU gear!
