Linda Gail (Reedy) Hartman left this earth all too suddenly on January 19, 2017.
Gail was born to Jack Carlton Reedy and Gerri Marine Reedy on September 23rd, 1959 in the United States Air Force Base hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany. Her father, Jack, was a colonel in the Air Force and the family moved all over the world, including Germany, Italy, Iran, and all over the United States. Gail graduated high school in Omaha, Nebraska in 1977. The family then moved to Albuquerque after Gail completed high school. From there, Gail moved to Sayre to attend Sayre Junior College. Gail graduated from Sayre Jr. College in 1979 with an associate’s degree. It was here Gail met the love of her life, Bill Hartman. Gail then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in 1981. Gail married Bill in 1984. Gail went to work at Elk City Hospital this same year. Bill and Gail made their home just west of Sayre and resided there all their lives.
Gail continued to work as a med tech for Elk City hospital for a year and then began to work for Dr. John Perkins. Gail was employed with him for 34 years. Gail loved needlepoint, snow skiing, and fishing. Another hobby of Gail’s was playing games on her computer. None of these things compared to the love Gail had for her grandkids. Gail was very active in their lives and enjoyed all their activities and taking them to the park and pool. Gail also loved animals and would always take in the strays that came up to her home.
Gail is preceded in death by her husband Bill Hartman, parents Jack and Gerri Reedy, her in-laws Gene and Gay Hartman, brother-in-law George Hartman, and two sister-in-laws Brenda Hartman and Terry Hartman.
Gail is survived by her two children; Gene Hartman and his children Alexis, Skyler and Bailor of the home and Jack Hartman, his wife Mica with their son Jace of Woodward. Gail is also survived by two brothers; John Reedy of Albuquerque, Bob and Andrea Reedy with their daughters Caroline and Samantha in Austin, Texas. A brother-in-law; John Hartman, two sister-in-laws, Vivian and Red Kennedy, Rosanna and Billy Arganbright, and a host of other friends and relatives.
