Kathryn Leigh “Kathy” Hartman, 58 year old Woodward resident, died Saturday, October 26, 2013 at her home in Woodward. A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Peppermint Lounge. Her burial will take place at a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Kathryn Leigh Hartman was born on October 30, 1954 in Van Nuys, California to Lawrence John and Carol Leigh (Dean) Hartman. Kathy was reared in California and spent a lot of her younger years there before moving to Oklahoma.

Kathy was a member of the Community Christ Church in Thousand Oaks, California and the Church of the Nazarene in Woodward. Kathy was a longtime member of the ABATE Northwest Chapter 69.

She enjoyed fishing, bike rally’s, knitting, reading the Bible and her family at the Peppermint. She also loved music and being outdoors with family and friends.

She is survived by her son, John Shelton of Washington; brother Dean Hartman and wife Carol of Thousand Oaks, California; nieces and nephews, Christy Scott and fiancee, Shane Sanders of Woodward, Shelly Clevenger of Woodward, Michael Carriger of Woodward, Ashley Carriger Woodward, David Garcia of Idaho, Jason Hartman of California, Nick Hartman; great-nephews and great-nieces, Destiny Madden, Ayden Hammans, Sean Scott, Natasha Clevenger, C.J. Clevenger, and Troy Clevenger; her friends, who were like her family, Samgirl, Linda Lou, Turtle, Tweetie, Regina, Little Lisa, Cheryl, and Roxy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and life long friend Anita Hartzell
