George Lyndon Harrod
March 17, 1952 ~ September 28, 2020

George Lyndon Harrod was born on March 17, 1952 in Wade, OK to Laynie C. and Christine Hauk Harrod. George passed away on September 28, 2020 at his home at the age of 68.

A lifelong resident of Bryan County, George has been a farmer, rancher and cattleman all his life. He married Trecia A. Harrell on November 12, 1976 and they were blessed with 2 daughters and 41 years of marriage until Trecia’s passing in 2017. He worked for Bryan County District 1 until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and he loved his cows.

George was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

George is survived by his daughters Jennifer Miller and Heather Smith and husband Brad; granddaughters Annie Miller and Hallie Smith; step son Steven Combrink and wife Danni; brother Johnny Harrod and wife Karen; sisters Jean Thompson and Susan Irons and husband Tom and numerous extended family and friends.

Services to celebrate George’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Marty Hutchings will officiate. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
