Adam Cooper Harrison

Adam Cooper Harrison
August 16, 1990 ~ May 11, 2023

Adam Cooper Harrison was born August 16, 1990, in Woodward, Oklahoma to Wally and Sonja Harrison. At 32 years of age, Cooper passed away at the home of his parents in Woodward. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 17, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, 1620 Lincoln Avenue, in Woodward.

Cooper grew up in Woodward, graduating from Woodward High School in 2009. Fiercely competitive, Cooper loved all sports, and his happiest times were whenever he stepped across the chalk line onto the field of play. Cooper loved game day. At WHS, he played both varsity football and soccer, earning all-state honors in soccer. An avid Cowboy fan from birth, Cooper attended Oklahoma State University after high school and completed two semesters. Cooper then returned to Woodward and began helping out on his family's ranch. He loved to be outdoors, and his favorite job at the ranch was gathering cattle.

Cooper was both funny and fun-loving, and he loved to entertain his friends and family. In all things, he demonstrated compassion and insisted on fairness, ever a champion of the underdog. In 2012, Cooper was diagnosed with schizophrenia. With the love and support of family and good friends, he battled mightily with the challenges and debilitating effects of this cruel disease. Cooper is forever loved and never forgotten.

Cooper is survived by his parents Wally and Sonja Harrison; brother Cory Latta and husband Tracy Turner of OKC; sister Jessica Stout and husband Chaney Stout of Dallas, TX; nephews Rowe and Shep Stout and niece Mercer Stout; and long time best friend, brother, and co-conspirator Brogan Goodwin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Cooper be made to Compassion Church, PO Box 512, Stratford, OK. 74872.
