To all our beautiful and kindhearted friends and family, we, the children and grandchildren of the beloved Wanda Faye Harris would like to thank you for your sympathy and support, as well as share a few words with you in celebration of a wonderful woman.
Wanda was born on August 25th, 1948, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Martha McBath and Amos Lee. She was the oldest child of eight and her journey through early life was not without hardship. Wanda persevered and achieved her dream of completing her education; she earned her GED in 1970 all while raising a young family on her own. She worked at the local K-Mart (among other side hustles and odd jobs) until moving to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1987. In Bartlesville, she continued her legacy of hard work and dedication to her children, often working more than 2 or 3 jobs, and she retired from Jane Phillips Medical Center in 2013. After retirement, many became acquainted with her smiling face and humble service while she volunteered at Grayson's Donut Hole in Bartlesville, right up until she was diagnosed with cancer in June of this year.
Wanda fought the Good Fight, she never complained, she was always the first to lend a hand, to be a shoulder to cry on, or just an ear to listen. She remained a devout Publisher of the Good News about Jesus Christ throughout her entire adult life and never hesitated to show her Godly devotion though becoming the very definition of Love and Kindness for anyone in need, great or small. She finished her fight in this earthly realm much the same way she had spent all of her precious few years, with us, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, peacefully, and looking forward to eternal paradise with her Lord and King.
Dear Wanda did not wish to have a funeral service, but she does want you to celebrate the things that bring you true joy and happiness in life. She wants you to know that Jehovah God Loves You! She would want whatever flowers, meals, other voluntary donations, or acts of kindness you have planned to do in her memory be done for those that are still here with us and are most in need of your consideration. If you don't find that to be suitable for your grieving process, please send your donations of time, money, and/or heartfelt Love to your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
