Raymond Daniel Harris was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on April 5, 1969 to James and Zula (Nixon) Harris. He passed away in Fort Smith, Arkansas on September 7, 2020 at the age of 51.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, James Harris and Zula (Nixon) Midkiff; his sister, Jennalee Harris; his paternal grandparents, Paul and Ruby (Hayden) Harris; his maternal grandparents, Albert and Rosa (Eaton) Nixon; and one nephew, Tyler Brock.

Raymond was raised in Keota, Oklahoma where he attended Keota Public School. He graduated in 1987. Following graduation, he moved to Spiro, Oklahoma where he resided the remainder of his life.

Raymond loved nature and he spent most of his life outdoors. He had a passion for fishing, hunting and gardening. He also thoroughly enjoyed arrowhead hunting and he collected items that were native-made.

Raymond was talented at Art, as was his father. He enjoyed sketching and drawing and he had completed many pieces of beautiful artwork.

Raymond was also very good and knowledgeable about repairing broken items and he spent many years repairing appliances as an occupation.

Raymond will be remembered by his smile and contagious laughter. He had a comical personality. He also had a huge heart and although he wasn’t prone to ask for any help for himself, he tried to help others as often as he could. Raymond will be dearly missed by friends and family.
