Judy Roceal Harris, 83, of McAlester, Oklahoma, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 23, 2026.
Judy was born on September 6, 1942, and lived a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and devotion to God. A faithful member of Pathway to Truth Church in Krebs, Oklahoma, Judy’s love for the Lord was evident in both her words and actions throughout her life.
She was joyfully welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Reverend Leonard and Ruby Harris; her sister and brother-in-law, Reverend Modell Boen and Reverend James Boen; and her brother and sister-in-law, Reverend Sonny Harris and Charlene. What a glorious reunion it must have been this morning at 5:32 a.m.!
She is survived by her two daughters, Lana McPherson and Jo Long and husband Bob Alberding; her grandchildren: Matthew Dugan and wife Angiris, Tony Dugan, Ryan Byington and wife Amy, and Alyshia Byington; 8 great-grandchildren: Justin Dugan, Petty Officer 2nd Class (PO2), USN and wife Marissa, Brenden Dugan and partner Rayan Cleveland, Maddilynn Byington, McKenzie Byington, McKenna Dugan, Merrick Dugan, Logan Byington and Becca Dugan and 3 great-great-grandchildren: Naomi Dugan, Elaine Dugan, Baby Dugan on the way! A host of nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
As owner/operator of Hunts Beauty Shop in McAlester, Judy met some life-long friends in the early 70’s. Judy then worked and retired from AT&T after 20+ years of dedicated service. She later spent 25 years working full-time for Halcon Transportation as a limousine driver, transporting conductors and engineers for Union Pacific Railroad. She remained devoted to her work at 40 hours per week until recently when she became ill with pneumonia.
Anointed by God, Judy was a gifted piano player her entire life, Judy began playing at just three years old. She had a deep love for gospel music and faithfully played throughout her life, using her talent to honor God and bring joy and comfort to others.
Judy was known for her strong and spirited personality—funny, ornery, and never afraid to speak her mind. She stood firm in her beliefs and was never shy about sharing her opinions. But above all, she loved deeply and would do anything for her two daughters.
Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she loved them with all her heart. Her legacy of faith, strength, and love will live on through the many lives she touched.

A memorial service celebrating Judy’s life and her homecoming will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 27, 2026, at Pathway to Truth Church, located at 324 SE Monroe in Krebs, Oklahoma. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and join in honoring her life and legacy.
A private graveside service for the family will be held at a later date at Memory Gardens in McAlester.
The service will be officiated by her nephew, Rev. James (Jim) Harris and Rev. Rodney Mattox. Musical tributes will be provided by her niece, Carol Dugan, on piano, and her nephew, Chris Harris, who will lead in guitar and worship.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Chris Harris, Jeremy “Bubba” Harris, Colton Harris, Trae Harris, Kevin Hardcastle, Daithan Johnson, A.W. Brown, Brian Dugan, Carlton Griffis, Thomas Hunter and Zachary Pennington.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
