Henry P. Harris

1855 ~ 1948

Henry P. Harris, 93, Dies in City Hospital

Henry P. Harris, 93, 1021 W. Bridge, died at the General hospital at 7:40 p.m. Monday after a six weeks illness.

Mr. Harris came to Blackwell in 1937 from Rago, Kans., to live with his daughter, Mrs. Asa Williams; he has resided here since that time.

He was born in Indiana in 1855.

Suvivors include Mrs. Frank Warell, Newkirk; Mrs. Asa Williams, Blackwell; Mrs. Alta Van Dorsten, Wichita, Kans.; Mrs. Olive Yaple, Chillicothe, Mo.; two sons, Ross Harris, Wichita, and Lucian Harris, Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Stenell, Lafayetta, Ind.; Lydia and Josaphine Harris both of Decater, Ill.; and three brothers, E.B. Harris, Riverside, Calif.; John Harris, Miami, Fla.; Jesse Harris, Danville, Ill.

Funeral services will be held in the Roberts Chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, Rev. E.H. Hudson, Church of God, officiating.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery near Belmont, Kans.
