In celebrating the life of Daniel McKinley Harris, we honor and recognize a true Renaissance Man. A Veteran of the US Navy, loving Husband to his wife Maria, Father of 4 children and also an artist, a painter, an adventurer and traveler. My Father loved life and took on every task and challenge as if it were an adventure to conquer or an Odyssey to be experienced and chronicled as wisdom to share with his 4 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
My Father loved his family. He cherished the youthful memories he had with his brother Joe and Cousin Connie. He loved tinkering and fixing things, he was strong, he had a very unique sense of humor, and he carried things close to his heart. My Father loved his Country, he was a Patriot.
He loved his VFW Chapter, especially the friends he made there. He loved camping, the outdoors, and our fishing adventures bonded the two of us when I was a young child, following after him often in awe because I was certain he was a magical being.
My Father will be missed by all of his family. But my greatest comfort is he is reunited with my brother Michael, his Cousin Connie, his Parents and all of those people he cherished who have passed before him.
I know that with God's Grace, we will see him again.
