James Richard "Jimmy" Harrington
February 9, 1962 ~ January 31, 2024

James Richard (Jimmy) Harrington was born on 2-9-1962. Judy (Nolan) and Jesse F. Harrington III. He was born and raised in Dewey, graduating from Dewey High School in 1980. His trade was a mechanic/diesel mechanic, - he worked on cars all his life. He worked for the City of Bartlesville, UPS, Maverick and was self-employed. He also built mags for WesMar. Jimmy’s passion was racing. Whether it was a Harley, a truck, a Race Car – he always had the need for it to go faster or be louder! He raced at Caney Valley Speedway for several years, in the 90’s alongside several friends, (too many to list) but most importantly our dad – Jesse Harrington and Uncle Orville Harrington. Jimmy loved Music. Loud music. He liked to ride his Harley, always loved His Dogs, Playing cards, Playing shuffleboard and driving, making his rounds. He liked to watch football and eat. He enjoyed watching Thunder games with his mom. He always had a big smile for people, was friendly and liked to make people feel better. Jimmy took really good care of his parents, which showed his servant's heart. He loved the lord very much and was always encouraging anyone who needed it. Jimmy was never married.

Jimmy is survived by his mom Judy Harrington of Dewey, Sister Lisa Harrington (Dewey) Brother-in-law- Don Swan (Dewey). Nephew and Nieces: Brian and Amy Swan Haley, Hana, Kyle and Kaci, Luke and Heather Cash(ARK) Kade and Kennedy. Leslie Gordineer (Euliss, TX) Emily Theisen, (Dewey) Elle, Everlee, Eden, and Evan, Dakota (Dewey). Uncle Orville, Jan & Dana Harrington (Dewey) Aunt Joyce Shull, Missy, Mark Franco, Jr. Shull and family, Aunt Rosetta Forsee Tony and Carolyn Osborne and family, Jr Osborne and family, Sherry Hornung and family. Jack, Jerry, John, Jeff Rodgers and Janana Rodgers Bassett. Aunt/Uncle Tony and Sue Fergusen, Tony’s, Jody and Melissa, Amy and Aaron, and Josh and Linda and families. Randy and Jayne Robbins Dustin Robbins, Nicole, Garrett and families. Mike Nolan Jr and family. Libby, Alice and Billy Joe Nolan and families. Special Son- Jason Catlin, Special Best Girlfriend Carol Davis. Patricia and James Talamantes. Firepit Fellowship friends… and many many friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by Dad, Jesse Harrington, sister, Lynda Swan, (Dewey) Niece, Heaven Lee Theisen, and Cousin Tony Davis (Catoosa). Aunt/Uncle Mary Lou and John Rodgers, Eula Mae Hudson Grandma, Jesse F Harrington(Buck) JR and ED & Mary Nolan. Uncle Mike Nolan.

Memorial services and Celebration of Life for Jimmy and Jesse Harrington will be at the Dewey High School Auditorium on Sat Feb 10th, 2024, at 11 am. (Bring your favorite stories.)

There will be a Greet & Eat at BackRoads Bar (926 Portland Ave – Dewey) at 1pm.

A Checkered Flag Celebration will start at 3pm, at BackRoads Bar with a Memorial Shuffleboard Tournament at 7pm.
