Carrie Belle Harper was born February 21, 1918 in Wills Point, Texas to Effie (Gilbert) and William Daniel Berry. She died at a local nursing home on Christmas Day, December 25, 2013 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 95.

She grew up on her family's farm in Will's Point, TX and attended the local schools. She met Thurmon Lee Jackson-Harper who was working for her father on their family farm. They married on March 1, 1933 in Will's Point. She, Thurmon and their boys worked as migrant workers in the cotton fields in the Eastern Texas area. They moved to Oklahoma in 1951 and settled in the Lawton area.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, and painting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurmon Lee Jackson-Harper; two sons, William Lee Harper and Billy Eugene Harper; both parents, William and Effie Berry; two brothers, William Gilbert Berry and John Marcus Berry.

She is survived by her two sons, Joe Daniel Harper, of Lawton and Kenneth James Harper and his wife Linda, of Cache, daugher, Jeannie Wellspring and her husband Howard, of Terrell, TX; thirteen grandchildren: Carl Reece Jr, and James Dean Harper, both of Lawton, Michelle Darlene Madrid and her husband William, of Moore, Carolyn Sue Jacobs and James Daniel Harper, both of Antlers, Mark Harper, Jessie Harper, William Lee Harper Jr, Angel Harper, and Thurmon Lee Harper Jr, all of Washington, Megan Lee Wellspring and her fiance Travis Basden, of Oklahoma City, Mathew Howard Wellspring and his wife Amber, of Fort Stewart, GA, Sherry Christenson, of Elgin.

Visitation:
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service 6210 NW Cache Road Lawton Oklahoma 73505

Service:
3:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Whinery-Huddleston Chapel 6210 NW Cache Road Lawton Oklahoma 73505
