Anna Bell (Bates) Harper

June 17, 1903 ~ June 13, 2002

SHAMROCK - Anna Bell Harper, 98, died Thursday, June 13, 2002.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Samnorwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Dean Driver, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Harper was born June 17, 1903, in Lone Wolf, Okla., to the Rev. R.P. and Sarah Isabell Bates. She was a resident of Oklahoma City for more than 40 years before moving to Shamrock in 1976.

She was a member of the Samnorwood Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Harper; two daughters; two sons; her parents; seven brothers; a sister; and a grandson.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Lenderman and wife, Emy, of Samnorwood and Richard Harper and wife, Sylvia, of Choctaw, Okla.; two daughters, Bobbie Snead and husband, J.C., of Samnorwood and LaVelle Morgan and husband, Fred, of Pottsboro; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Samnorwood Baptist Church.
