Barbara Lynn Harp, age 62, resident of Newkirk, OK passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Newkirk.
A memorial ceremony will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at First Baptist Church, 4748 N. Pleasantview Rd., Newkirk, OK with Joe Igla officiating.
Barbara was born on August 7, 1955 to her parents, Norman C. and Betty L. Green in Okmulgee, OK.
She worked as a surveillance officer at Native Lights Casino as well as a dispatcher and detention officer for several years. Barbara loved her family and doted on her grandchildren. She had a passion for gardening all kinds of things, most of all she loved playing in the dirt. She was a great cook and loved the holidays and had a great love for music.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Harp of Newkirk, three children; Justin Borden of Las Vegas, NV, Jared Borden of Traer, IA, and Alexis Borden of Ponca City, two brothers, Norman Green of Newkirk, and Kenneth Green of Las Vegas, three step-children, Teresa Reed of Okmulgee, OK, Karen Stoyanoski of Salina, OK, and Ben Harp of Princeton, TX, two grandchildren, Beau and Remy Borden, and seven step-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Norman C. and Betty L. Green.
Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
