Geri Harmon

February 12, 1920 ~ March 18, 2004

Services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Lane, Wednesday, March 24, at 10:00 a.m. for Geri Harmon, 84, who passed away March 18, 2004, in Bakersfield. Pastor Robert Proctor will officiate.

Geri was born February 12, 1920, in Atwood, Oklahoma, and resided in Kern County for 48 years. She was a member of McKee Rd. Baptist Church. Geri loved her church and her family. Her life revolved around both. She had a great influence in lots of lives through her Church and her love for Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve; and her son, Michael McConnell. Geri is survived by her children, Father Gary D. McConnell and wife, Donna of Searcy, Arkansas, Steve Harmon, Jr., of Weatherford, Texas, Julia L. Sherman, Ginger A. Hill and Dana B. Harmon, all of Bakersfield; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and brother, Yakima Brumley of Blue Jacket, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Wendell Martin, Brett Harmon, Jeffrey Sherman, Ronald Jackson, and Dean Baker. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to Hoffmann Hospice, 6501 Schirra Ct., Bakersfield, CA 93309.

Visitation begins Tuesday, March 23, 3 p.m.
