Helen Lou (Wills) Farris, Harlin, 85, of Shawnee, passed away on May 19, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born on August 10, 1939, in Asher, Oklahoma, to Loyd and Pearl Wills.
Helen was a joyful spirit who deeply loved her Lord and her family. Always smiling and full of warmth, she never met a stranger. Her passions included gardening, birdwatching, and ceramics. She cherished spending time with her family, playing games, and traveling. A devoted member of the Church of Christ, Helen instilled her love for the Lord in her children from a young age.
She worked for many years in jewelry sales, at Zales and other stores, where her bright personality and care for people shone through.
Helen is lovingly remembered by her children: Randall Farris, Jimmy and DeAnn Farris, Philip and Laura Farris, Diane and Terry Fox, and Kelly and Melodie Farris; her grandchildren: Mandi Gascon (Adrian), Tyler Farris, and Cole Farris; and her great-grandchildren: Ava and Noah Gascon, and Jack Farris. She is also survived by her sisters, Ann Perry and Sue Farris, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Pearl Wills; her first husband, Jim Farris; her second husband, Bill Harlin; and siblings Ruth Macomber, Les Wills, Ray Wills, and Carl Wills.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Lakeview Church of Christ in Shawnee.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westview Boys’ Home in Hollis, OK.
