Betty Jean (Davis) Hargues

Betty Jean (Davis) Hargues
December 22, 1945 ~ June 30, 2021 (age 75)

Betty Hargues, 75, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on December 22, 1945 in Clinton, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Paul Davis and Mary Ann (Harms) Davis. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 30, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was a faithful woman of God who loved her church and serving others. Family meant more to her than anything is this world and loved spending time creating memories. Her hobbies included cooking, working in the outdoors, and a little girl time from shopping to getting pampered by her grandchildren. She was an incredible homemaker and lived her life to serve God and take care of the people she loved.

She married the love of her life, Raymond Hargues on September 3, 1969 and made their home in Elk City, Oklahoma. There, they raised their two children Eddie Hargues of Elk City, Oklahoma and Tammy (Hargues) Appleby of Piedmont, Oklahoma. Raymond and Betty Hargues cherished their love and were simply inseparable. Their love is an example of what a marriage should be. They never let the sun go down without forgiveness for each other. They believed that any relationship should be one that was Christ centered.

Cherishing her memory is her loving husband Raymond Hargues of almost 52 years; Her son Eddie Hargues and his wife Connie Hargues of Elk City, Oklahoma; Her daughter Tammy Appleby and her husband Darren Appleby of Piedmont, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren Roper Hargues and Holly Hubbard, Wyatt Hargues, Gabe Vuycankiat, Emma Appleby, and Avery Appleby. She also adored her only great-grandchild Hunter Hubbard. Betty also leaves behind 1 brother Don Davis and his wife Connie Davis of Kansas City, MO.; 1 brother in law Terry Hargues and his wife Judy Hargues. There are also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends that she loved dearly.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Mary Ann Davis; 4 brothers her twin Larry Davis, Ronnie Davis, Robert “Bobby” Davis, and George “Patty” Davis, and 1 unborn grandchild.

Although Betty is no longer with us, her memory and legacy will be kept alive through her family and friends.
