Memorial service celebrating the life of Scott Hare, age 57, of Enid, will be 10:00 AM Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Clayton Stevicks officiating.
Scott was born September 7, 1961, in Elk City, to Danny Ray and Blanche Evalyn (Crook) Hare, and passed away on September 27, 2018.
Scott attended school at Sentinel, Hennessey and then graduated from Chisholm High School in 1979. He then attended Oklahoma State University, Bethany Nazarene College and then he received his Electronic Technician Certification from O.T. Autry Vo-Tech in Enid. He worked for Howard's Construction Company, L.O. Ward Oil Company, ANR Pipeline Company in Weatherford, Western Gas Resources, as a plant operator, Markwest Oklahoma Gas Company, as plant superintendent, Enbridge Pipeline as an automation technician, and for Highland Partners as a field supervisor.
Scott was a very hard worker, he started working after school and weekends at a local hog farm, dairy farm, and when he was old enough to drive he worked in Enid at Enid Auto Service station and the Firestone Tire Store. Work for him was never too dirty or too hard, he always enjoyed a challenge. Scott enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at Thanksgiving. At the age of 10 Scott accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as his savior, this was the most important event in his lifetime.
Scott is survived by his mother Blanche Wright of Enid; sister Diane Dalrymple and her husband Brad of Enid; stepsisters Pamela Sue (Howard) Davis of Moore, and Suzie Wright of Springdale, Arkansas; stepbrothers Danny Wright of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Randal Wright of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Ron Wright of Joplin, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Danny Ray Hare, stepfathers Melvin Dee Howard, and Charles Henry Wright.
