Edward Hardeman

February 25, 1943 ~ November 1, 2017

Mr. Edward Hardeman, of Warner, fell asleep in death on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born on February 25, 1943, in Wetumka, OK, to L.C. and Bessie (Jones) Hardeman, the seventh of their eleven children.

Edward attended and graduated from New Lima Public Schools. He also attended Central State University, where he received his Masters of Science degree. Edward was in education for over 30 years. He began his teaching career at Northeast High School in Oklahoma City. He also served as Athletic Director, head coach of the baseball team, as well as the assistant coach to the football and basketball teams. His impressive coaching record resulted in an assistant coach position at Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma. During his tenured employment at Connors, Edward held several positions, with the last positions held being the Vice President of Student Affairs and Athletic Director.

In 2002, Edward decided to retire to focus on family and his faith for Jehovah and after many years of dedicated service, Edward was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on November 13th 2016

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, as well as three sisters and six brothers.

Edward is survived by his wife Anna, daughters Chana Yvette Hardeman and Rhonda Kaye (Daniel) Casper, grandchildren John Wright and Lesa Wright, great-grandson Dante Wright, sister Earnscell Shelton, special friend Michael Wright, as well as a host of relatives and friends. 

Family conducted memorial services 2 p.m. Saturday, Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness, Checotah. Garrett Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Checotah.
