Gordon Thomas Hard, age 89, resident of Tonkawa, OK, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 in Ponca City , at Ponca Nursing Home. he was 89.
The family is planning a graveside service in Elburn, IL at a future date. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
Gordon was born on January 21, 1929 in High Point, NC. He spent much of his life in northern Illinois. Gordon took up playing the drums and especially enjoyed playing jazz music. He played all over the Chicago area. He also was a self-taught TV repairman. Eventually, life brought Gordon to Tonkawa, OK where he found even greater success as a TV repairman and later provided computer repairs for Northern Oklahoma College.
Survivors include his children: Jayne Hard, of Tulsa, OK, Gordon D. Hard and wife Kathleen of Newark, IL, Kathy Krughoff and husband Roy of Boulder, CO, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, dear wife Lois, son Scott Hard, and his brother Jim Hard.
