Mrs. Ruth Janet Hannan, 87, of Bartlesville, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
A graveside memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Mounds, Illinois, on a later date. Cremation arrangements were provided by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory in Bartlesville.

Ruth was welcomed by her parents, John Warren Sr. and Mamie Loretta (Heichelbech) Bell, on April 7, 1931, in Cairo, Illinois. She graduated from Mound City Community High School in Mound City, Illinois, in 1949. On January 11, 1950, Ruth and James Robert Hannan were united in marriage. She relocated from the Mount City, Illinois, area to Bartlesville in 1999. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Bartlesville, St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City, Illinois, and was also a member of the St. Mary's Sodality. In Bartlesville, she volunteered at Mary Marth Outreach.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James in 1987; two sisters, Marie Susan Bell and Rosaline Bernice Boren; three brothers, Alfred Charles Bell, John W. Bell Jr., and Ralph Eugene (Buddy) Bell.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Denise Hannan Carlisle and husband Tom of Bartlesville; two grandsons, Brian Carlisle and wife Anna of Tulsa, and Chad Carlisle and wife Samantha of Los Angeles, California; two great-grandsons, Braden Carlisle of Tulsa, and Redd Carlisle of Los Angeles; one brother-in-law, Donnie Hannan and wife Sue of Paducah, Kentucky; and by several nieces and nephews.
