Gary Eugene Hanna

Gary Eugene Hanna
November 14, 1942 ~ May 4, 2025

Gary Eugene Hanna, age 82, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on May 4, 2025, in Tulsa. Gary enjoyed the simple pleasures in life—spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, and watching westerns. A true sports fan, he especially loved cheering on the Denver Broncos and relaxing with football games. His greatest joy, however, came from being with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Gary’s life was a testament to love of family, nature, and the quiet joys of everyday living.

He is survived by his sons: Gary Hanna and wife Melissa of Sand Springs, OK; Don Hanna and wife Rebecca of Locust Grove, OK; and Scott Hanna and wife Teresa of Salina, OK. He was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and is also remembered by many other relatives and friends. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Hanna and Ollie (Wright) Hanna; wife, Doris Evelyn (Cunningham) Hanna; daughter, Karen Monk; brothers, Fred, Clifford, and Sherman Hanna; and sister, Geraldine Damron.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Salina Fire Department. To leave his family a message, please visit his Tribute Wall at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman’s Funeral & Cremation Service.
