James H. Hankins, age 80 passed away April 20th.
Jim was born October 30, 1935 In Lawton, Oklahoma. He was raised in Lawton and moved later to Guthrie, Oklahoma where he graduated high school. He later went on to attend Central Christian College in Bartlesville where he met his wife Manon Bennett. They married May 29, 1956 and made their home in Bartlesville. Jim worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for 37 years until his retirement. In retirement Jim enjoyed working in their flowerbeds, watching Oklahoma Football, and travel. One of this favorite things was eating his wife's cooking and making homemade ice cream. Jim was also a great baker of bread which he gave away to the Bartlesville Fire Department, friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Millard R. and Elizabeth Hankins.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Manon; and a son and daughter-in-law, Stan and Rebecca Hankins of Bentonville, Arkansas. Jim has one brother, Richard Hankins and his wife Marilyn of Edmond, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law and brothers- in law, Larry and Tena Minden of Monkey Island, Oklahoma and Roy and Cassandra Dickson of Nashville, Tennessee; also many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
