Troy Lee Hampton
March 25, 1938 ~ July 20, 2017

Troy Lee Hampton, 79, was born to Isaac and Charlcie Hampton in Ocie, Missouri, on March 25, 1938, and passed away July 20, 2017, in Wichita, Kansas.

Troy retired as a major on the Wichita Police Department in 1986 after 20 years of service. He was a Sedgwick County master gardener and also enjoyed fishing, woodworking and helping others. He was an active participant on numerous mission work teams sponsored by his church, First United Methodist. Most importantly he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lou Hampton.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Kline Hampton; son, Harold (Debbie) Hampton of Charlotte, North Carolina ,; daughter, Lori (Barry) Severns of Lantana, Texas; sisters, Almeda Wyman of Kissee Mills, Missouri, and Imogene Grisham and Carma Frazier both of Gainesville, Missouri; brothers, E.J. Hampton and Tommy Hampton of Wasola, Missouri, and Bobby Hampton of Seneca, Missouri; grandchildren, Pierce Hampton and Reece Hampton; Parker Severns, Carter (Amelia) Severns, Addison (Kaitlin) Severns, and Anya Severns; two brothers-in-law, Stan Kline and wife, Deb, of Alva, and Darrell Kline and wife, Ann, of Alva.
