Patricia D. "Trish" (Thornton) Hampton

Patricia D. "Trish" (Thornton) Hampton
August 5, 1972 ~ September 28, 2022

Patricia D. Hampton lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 in Shattuck, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donnetta Hunter officiating.

Patricia D. (Thornton) Hampton along with her twin sister, Tammy was born on August 5, 1972 to James Larry (Cowboy) and Carmelita Thornton in Pueblo, Colorado. Patricia attended several different schools in Colorado and Oklahoma. Patricia was blessed with one daughter, Alex (Carter) Watson.

Patricia lived two separate lives. The life her friends saw and the life her family saw. Some would call Patricia a sweet soul but she also had a wild side. She would give the shirt off her back but with the same breath say exactly how she felt. She did not have a filter. Patricia had her own way of showing her love for her family and friends.

One of the greatest memories that Alex has with her mom is being a little girl and Patricia came to get Alex for the weekend. Alex, Patricia and one of Patricia's friends drove all over Shattuck looking for Cowboy and Carmen's house that was right off the main road in Shattuck. They repeatedly blared "Man, I Feel Like a Woman" by Shania Twain.

Patricia enjoyed going hunting on the family land in Colorado. She loved animals and would've saved them all if she could have. She also had a talent for art. She could paint, draw, and was very poetic.

Patricia obtained a love for the game of Golf. She took on golfing about ten years ago. Alex always laughed about this because it did not seem like something Patricia would enjoy.

Patricia worked various jobs over the years. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aide at the nursing home in Shattuck.

In the last months of her life, Patricia enjoyed the visits from her hospice chaplin. They would read the Bible and discuss scripture together.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Alex Watson and husband Kris of Sharon, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Ryan Bucher, Danielle Bucher, Adalicia Watson and Kolln Watson all of Sharon, Oklahoma; brothers, Michael Glenn of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Douglass Bliss and wife Diane of Shattuck, Oklahoma; niece, Sterling Glenn; nephew, Teagun Glenn both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; aunt, Barbara Edwards Exley of Albuquerque, New Mexico; uncle, Mark Edwards of Boise, Idaho; cousin, Fawn Montoya of Harrisonburg, Virginia; special friend, Jessica Arnett of Shattuck, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her twin sister, her parents, and one niece, Andrea Cowger.
