Donald Wayne Hamilton Donald Wayne Hamilton was born on November 24, 1948 in Coleman, OK to Earl Edward and Anna Marie (Hyde) Hamilton and passed away on February 18, 2018 in Plano, TX at the age of 69.
Donald attended school at Coleman and then proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. During his service he received several awards and medals including 2/Bronze Stars. He was Honorably Discharged on May 26, 1970. Donald was a welder by trade and he enjoyed fishing; coon hunting and spending time with family and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Grady Golden; sister, Betty Vaughn; brothers, Charles Vaughn, AJ Golden, Lee Golden and Frank Golden; sister in law, Paula Golden; sister in law, Lucille Golden and brother in law, Ernie Foster.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Crystal Gabbart and husband Kelly of Atoka; son, Greg Hamilton and wife Gina of Caddo; grandchildren, Hunter Gabbart, Ethan Gabbart, Jessica Gabbart, Alyssa Hamilton and Andrea Hamilton, brothers, Carroll Golden and wife Cleo, JB Golden, Tom Golden and wife Shannon and Wayne Wooten and wife Etta; sisters, Eloise Maxwell, Sharon Foster, Rose James and husband Ruben, Liz Horton and husband Charlie, Linda Hutchens and husband Paul and Minnie Watson and husband Keith; sister in law, Norma Golden; sister in law, Phyllis Golden and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
A celebration of Donald's life will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Don Hyde Jr. will officiate. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
