David Kent 'Dave' Hamblin, 56, of Midwest City passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 25, 2009. He was born January 23, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK to Frances and Wanda (Miller) Hamblin. Dave grew up in the north OKC area graduating from John Marshall High School. He furthered his education by attending Central State in Edmond.
David worked for over 20 years in lumber sales and then as a prefabrication machinist. Dave had a love of the outdoors whether it be hunting, fishing, golfing or gardening. Often times Casey, his four-legged partner in crime could be seen tagging closely behind. The Chicago Cubs and Oklahoma State Cowboys have lost a true fan in Dave.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Frances; mother, Wanda (Miller) Gentry; uncle, G.W. 'Bud' Miller; cousin, Jim Miller, bro.-in-law, David McKee, Uncle Marvin and Aunt Alta Lasiter and grandparents Claude and Grace Miller and Homer and Lena Hamblin.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila; son, Jonathan and his wife Stephanie; daughter, Sara; brother, Larry and his wife Donna; sister Melinda; Aunt Pat and stepfather, Bryant Gentry & his wife Anne.
