Marjorie (Rudd) Hale

Marjorie (Rudd) Hale
December 29, 1926 ~ October 24, 2020

Marjorie Rudd Hale of Edmond passed peacefully in her sleep on October 24, 2020. She was born December 29, 1926, in Ft. Worth, TX, and had been an OK resident since 1959. She was a Charter Member of Grace United Methodist Church in OKC and was active in the church's UMW and mobile meals programs for many decades. She also spent many years volunteering in the Putnam City Schools PTA. She loved baking, sewing, and was an avid sports fan.

She was preceded in death by her father Matt E Rudd, Sr., her mother Twyla Marie Burke Rudd, her brother Matt E Rudd, Jr., her son-in-law Joseph Hancock Marshburn III, and her husband of 65 years, Edwin Neil Hale.

She is survived by her daughter Phyllis Hale Marshburn of Atlanta, GA, son Christopher Neil Hale of Edmond, OK, granddaughter Molly Marshburn Bell (Sean) of Powder Springs, GA, grandsons Joseph Hancock Marshburn IV of Spartanburg, SC, Jeffrey Hale Marshburn (Leela) of Charleston, SC, and great-grandsons Nicholas Bell and Joseph Bell of Knoxville, TN, and Aiden Marshburn of Charleston, SC.

A celebration of her life is tentatively being planned for December 29th, her birthday. In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask everyone to participate in the Margie Project. Please go out and do a random act of kindness for a friend, family member, or even a stranger, in Margie's memory. Pay it forward, spread joy, and make someone’s day brighter. Margie filled so many hearts with love and joy, so in honor of her, let’s make the world a more beautiful place today, tomorrow...every day. Giant waves of love always start with the tiniest splashes!
