The memorial service for Dale Arthur Haines, 82-year-old Yukon resident, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.
Dale Haines was born December 8, 1939, in Ponca City, OK, to Arthur and Ruby (Dale) Haines and left us April 21, 2022. Dale graduated from Newkirk High School, where he was a proud member of the FFA. He met Jeanne Hutchison, they got married and began their family soon after. Dale had numerous careers before he retired in 2016 after being a truck driver for 20+ years.
Dale will be remembered for his love of his family. He constantly showed how much he loved us all, dropping everything to help any of us if we needed it. If any of his grandkids had an event, he would be there. After the events, he would take them to get ice cream, one of his favorite treats. When he wasn’t at a grandkids game, you bet he was watching some form of OU Athletics, his favorites being football, softball, and basketball. In his retirement, Dale found a love for working out. He would always go to the pool at the local YMCA; excited to come back and tell us how difficult the workout was, bragging that he made it through anyways.
Dale is survived by his daughter, Tammy McInturff, and husband, John, of
Mustang; sons, James Haines, and wife, Renee, of Clarksville, Tennessee;
Merlin Haines, and wife, Keri, of Enid; Brian Haines, and wife, Tara, of
Mustang; Chris Haines, and wife, Amanda, of Oklahoma City. Grandchildren,
Brittany; John; Pamela; Samantha; Logan; Jace; Rylie; Braiden; Brantley;
Hadley; Harper; Delila; and Grayson. Great-grandchildren, Raymond; Ella; and
Jaxson. Brothers, Jim Haines of Kansas; Jack Haines of Washington; and
numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his wife,
Jeanne; and parents, Arthur and Ruby.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made through the funeral home to American Lung Association.
