William Owen "Bill" Hadley
May 11, 1939 ~ February 2, 2018

William "Bill" Owen Hadley passed away February 2, 2018, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was 78 years old. A memorial service to gratefully celebrate his life will be held at 10:00am Friday, February 9, 2018, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, with Rev. Robert Montgomery and Pastor Cindy Robertson-Riedel officiating. Services are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.

Bill was born on May 11, 1939 to Corwin and Thelma Hadley in New Providence, Iowa. He found his love... of music early, and graduated with a degree in music from the College of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas in 1962. Bill met and married his first wife, Monetta Hadley, in college. 

Bill and Monetta moved to Ponca City in 1981. He worked as a Supervisor of central records for Conoco-Phillips until his retirement. Bill's passion was for his family and he loved coaching and watching his kids and grandkids play baseball and softball. He and his first wife Monetta enjoyed twenty-five years of travel ball each summer with their children, Greg and Angie. Bill married Barbara Johnson in Branson, Missouri in 2008, she survives of the home. Throughout his life, music was his ministry. He cherished the years he traveled and sang with the musical group Forgiven, and at the Gospel Jubilee, as well as singing in and directing the church choir through the years.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Monetta Hadley, and his niece, Haley Dixon. 

Bill is survived by his wife Barbara, his son Greg Hadley of Pittsburg, KS., his daughter Angie Hadley of Pittsburg, KS., step-son Kerry Johnson and wife Kim of New Virginia, IA., step-son Kent Johnson and wife Deb of Woodbury, MN., step-son Kirk Johnson and wife Tracy of Pleasantville, IA., step-son Kevin Johnson and wife Barb of Waukee, IA., step-daughter Kay-lynne Taylor and husband Jeff of Palmetto, FL., brother Steve Hadley and wife Elaine of Spring, TX., sister Marcia Hughes and husband Wally of Spring, TX., sister Donna Vigars and husband Byram of Princeton, IL., as well as eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
